We at KiltMagazine.com are dedicated to our mission -- celebrating Celtic societies and their effects upon the world. We use the kilt as an indicator of those cultures who are of Celtic origin in part or in total. We will be covering the people, places and things related to those people who are cousins in lineage.
With the above-mentioned mission we know that our bounds for coverage are wide and varied. Celtic peoples live in virtually every country in the world. They are major contributors in the continuance of freedom, faith, the arts, literature, industry and just about every other human activity imaginable.
Stories will pertain to history, the arts, travel, clan and family, and just about every other aspect of our lives that others of our heritage might like to study. Topics will vary from articles on Robert the Bruce, Daniel Boone, Owen Roe O’Neill or “How the Irish captured Boston”, to a travel article on castles in Wales. The bounds are darn-near limitless. We welcome article on kilts themselves – casual kilts, tartan, kilted formalwear and the activities that go with them.
As you can see from our link index we also include a wedding section designed to educate and celebrate contemporary Christian Celtic weddings
with the inclusion of traditions from our ancestors and the old world. We do
not cover Wicca or pagan ceremonies.
We invite your participation in our quest to study and promote our heritage, big or small. Please send your articles, photos, illustrations, poetry, or lists of civic events to features@kiltmagazine.com. As with any publication, we
reserve the right to edit, expand upon, condense, or omit any details that we
deem appropriate. We, however, are generally not heavy-handed in our editing.
Photos and art should be in JPEG or Gif formats and via attachment to the above email address. Articles can be included in email text or shipped in Text or Word formats as an attachment.
Our pay is a hearty “thank you” for your participation and a link to your
business, personal, group or organizational web site. We hope to grow to a
point where we can give monitory payment, but until then we thank you.
